Emily Adams
Emily graduated from the University of British Columbia with her Masters of Physical Therapy degree, and has completed her Level 1 Orthopaedic Manual Therapy certification. Her love for sports such as running, biking, skiing and golfing has given her many opportunities to learn how the body moves, and how to make moving feel better.
Prior to her Physical Therapy degree, Emily completed a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology at UBCO, where she played on the varsity golf team. With her background in Kinesiology, Emily creates individualized and fun exercise plans that fit her clients’ lifestyles. Encouraging movement, managing pain, and preventing injuries is what Emily is most passionate about as a physiotherapist. She enjoys watching clients of all ages meet their goals and reach their full potential.
Emily has a diverse background in physiotherapy having worked on Vancouver Island with a paediatric population, in Whistler with a high level athletic population, and in North Vancouver with assorted ages and types of pain/injury. Emily is very excited to be joining Groms as a paediatric and pelvic health physio.

Emma Aqvilin
Emma graduated with her physiotherapy degree from Karolinska institute in Sweden. She has diverse experience working with both the athletic and general population from busy clinics in Sweden, Whistler and the lower mainland.
She enjoys helping kids reach their full potential across their lifespan, with their specific goals in mind. Whether that be achieving developmental milestones, reaching an athletic goal or improving on already solid foundations.
She also has a great interest in women’s health, particularly the pre- and postnatal population. She is dedicated to supporting women throughout their pregnancy and aiding them in returning to their activities after giving birth.
Emma’s treatments are goal driven and developed together with her patients. Her strategies include employing meaningful exercises, manual therapy techniques to help facilitate them, self-management strategies to optimize individual function, all while being in a fun and engaging activity.
When not in the clinic she provides on field physiotherapy coverage for games and practice with the Whistler Wolves rugby team.
In her spare time, Emma is routinely travelling the globe in search of the best surf breaks. When not at work or on a surfboard, you can find her hiking, trail running, and snowboarding in the mountains.

Alexis Bullock
Alexis graduated from the University of British Columbia with her Master of Physical Therapy degree. Before pursuing her physiotherapy degree, she earned an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and a Master’s degree in Kinesiology from McMaster University. She has also completed the Orthopaedic Division Level 1 manual therapy certification.
Originally from Ontario, Alexis grew up ski racing competitively. Her love for sport and physical activity, combined with her desire to help others, is what drove her to pursue a career in physiotherapy. Alexis is passionate about exercise and movement, and most importantly, believes that it should be fun! Her treatment approach involves creating individualized and holistic programs to help kids realize their full potential and achieve their goals, whether that be a sport-specific pursuit, reducing pain, increasing strength, or simply feeling better when moving. Above all, Alexis loves helping kids participate in the activities they enjoy and feel good while doing them.
Alexis enjoys working with a range of clients, and has experience working with children with musculoskeletal pain, developmental delays, as well neurological and congenital disorders.

Karly Dagys
Karly brings a diverse background of skills and passion to the Groms Physio + Co Team. She completed her Bachelor of Science in the United States as a member of a NCAA Division 1 Women’s Soccer Team and returned to Canada to complete her Master of Science in Physical Therapy at Queen’s University. Having previously worked in a privates clinics in Whistler as well as Greater Vancouver Area, she is excited to bring her experience and passion to Squamish.
She has a wide-range of experience working with elite, Olympic level athletes, as well as a special passion for working with the paediatric population. Having come from an athletic background and embracing the West Coast mountain lifestyle herself, Karly understands the demands that sport places on the body and is very passionate about helping athletes return to play!

Jenna Gleeson
Jenna is a Registered clinical Counsellor with over 20 years of experience working with children, youth, and parents/co-parents. She holds a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Simon Fraser University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Victoria.
Jenna specializes in supporting children, youth, performance athletes, and parents/co-parents. She is dedicated to empowering meaningful change for young people and the caregivers who support them drawing on evidence based tools, collaborative guidance, and genuine compassionate connection.
Jenna’s approach blends practical, actionable skills with deeper emotional insight. She tailors therapy to each child, youth and family, taking into account developmental needs, family dynamics and the unique strengths each person brings.
Jenna lives in Squamish, BC with her husband and their three young children. They are an active family and spend much of their time outdoors—skiing, swimming, biking, and exploring nature together. For the past 16 years, herself and her husband and have competed at a high level in triathlon, which has strongly influenced her passion for working with performance athletes and her community involvement as co-race director for the Squamish Youth Triathlon.
She will be offering in-person counselling for children and teens every other Tuesday from 10-8 PM and alternate Tuesdays in the evenings, with plans to increase availability in the spring. Rachel Green
Rachel has been practicing as a Registered Massage Therapist since 2015; treating folks mainly in North Vancouver, she is excited to start seeing patients closer to home. Rachel focuses largely on evidence based treatments, and her massages follow patient feedback first and foremost. She is looking forward to helping both children and adults reach their mobility and performance goals, as well as complementing already established treatment plans.

Janali Gustafson
Janali attended Quest University for her Bachelor of Arts and Sciences with a focus on exercise physiology and sports psychology, and then completed her Doctor of Physical Therapy at Eastern Washington University. After starting her career in adult orthopedics, she decided to follow her passion to specialize in paediatric and pelvic floor physiotherapy.
Janali has extensive experience working with kids in a variety of settings. She was a youth swim coach for 10 years, and throughout her schooling she volunteered with adaptive sports organizations to help make outdoor recreation more accessible to people of all ability levels. She loves working with kids of all ages, with a special focus on helping all kids reach their athletic goals. She also loves working with infants and helping parents learn how to best support their kids’ development and give them a great foundation for life. Janali is also certified in pelvic floor physiotherapy in children and adults, and has a special passion for pre- and post-natal care.
In her practice, Janali uses a mix of skilled manual therapy and targeted exercise prescription to help her patients achieve their goals. She believes strongly in evidence-based treatment approaches, and creates personalized recovery plans for every patient. Most of all, Janali believes that physiotherapy should be fun, no matter your age!

Marie-Li Lapierre 11726
Originally from Montreal, Quebec, Marie-Li has always been engaged in various sports since childhood (Baseball, Kin-Ball, Flag football, rugby, climbing, skiing/snowboarding). She pursued her love for sport academically at the University of Montreal. Here she was part of the varsity rugby team, and graduated with a Masters in Physical Therapy.
Marie-Li realised her desire to pursue a career in Paediatric Physiotherapy after a placement with infants and toddlers at Sainte-Justine Hospital in Montreal. She loves working with kids of all ages, to witness the different stages of child development, follow their personal journeys and the many challenges that come with growing up. Time Marie-Li spent working with Indigenous Communities in Northern Quebec made her well equipped to face different challenges in her work.
Marie-Li is really excited to join the Groms team to help children thrive and guide them through the process of achieving their goals.

Nicole McMahon
Nicole graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Kinesiology and a Master of Physical Therapy. She began her career as a school-aged, community-based physiotherapist, working with a diverse group of children with complex medical needs; including developmental delays, congenital, and genetic disorders, many of whom were part of the At Home Program.
Growing up on the North Shore, Nicole spent many years first participating in and subsequently coaching recreational and competitive gymnastics for both preschool and school-aged children. This experience has provided her with valuable insight into child development, movement analysis, injury prevention, and performance optimization. She will apply these core competencies to deliver consistent value to every client.
Alongside her pediatric expertise, Nicole works in acute care at Lions Gate Hospital, where she supports patients in achieving their mobility goals and ensures they are prepared to return safely to their communities after discharge.

Samantha Porter
Samantha Porter is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC #22504) with a Master’s in Counselling and over ten years of experience supporting children, teens, and families. With a background in Child and Youth Care, she brings a creative, compassionate, and developmentally attuned lens to her work with young clients. Samantha uses a playful and practical approach in sessions—incorporating visual tools, hands-on activities, and creative strategies to help children and youth better understand and manage their emotions. Whether supporting challenges related to anxiety, depression, learning challenges, ADHD, peer relationships, or stress at home or school, her focus is on helping clients build emotional skills in ways that are both engaging and supportive.
She works closely with caregivers to ensure therapy goals carry into daily life—collaborating around strategies, offering insights into patterns of behaviour, and helping families create a shared emotional language. Samantha believes therapy is most effective when everyone involved feels informed, supported, and connected.

Julia Ransom
Julia earned her Master of Physical Therapy from the University of British Columbia. Before becoming a physiotherapist, she spent nearly a decade as a professional biathlete, competing internationally as a member of Canada’s National and world cup World Cup teams. She even competed for Team Canada at the 2018 Olympic Winter Games!
Her lifelong passion for sport and movement is reflected through in her clinical work, where she helps children reach their full potential—whatever their playground may look like. Julia believes that physiotherapy should be fun and engaging. She combines evidence-based treatment with play to motivate and challenge children toward their individual goals.

Maria Toner
Maria is a passionate and experienced paediatric physiotherapist who has been working with children since 2017. She completed her Physiotherapy degree at the University of Ulster in Ireland in 2012 and feels incredibly lucky to work in a career she truly loves.
Maria prides herself on being able to seamlessly switch between “fun mode” for kids and “physio mode” for parents. She delivers care that is thoughtful, individualized, and centred around each family’s unique needs and goals—supporting both typically developing and neurodivergent children.
She has completed additional training in concussion management, paediatric pelvic floor dysfunction, and bladder and bowel dysfunction, as well as CME (Cuevas Medek Exercises) Therapy.
Maria has experience working with children with a wide range of needs, including those with brain injuries, autism, ADHD, and Down Syndrome. She is especially skilled in treating babies, with a special interest in supporting early gross motor milestones, as well as conditions like plagiocephaly and torticollis.
